Dr Bryan McGoldrick - Owner
Dr. McGoldrick graduated from the University of Illinois in 1998. Shortly thereafter, he and his wife Kris moved to Columbus, Wisconsin. Dr. McGoldrick worked as a mixed animal veterinarian (cows, horses, dogs, cats) for 5 years before moving to sunny Florida. In 2003, Dr. McGoldrick and his wife purchased The Vet Clinic of Palm Harbor, previously named The Vet Clinic, which was established in 1995. Dr. McGoldrick and Kris have 3 children, Taylor, Madelyn, and Kevin. He and his family share their house with a Chocolate Labrador "Chevy" three cats "Alex" “Pumpkin” and "Oliver” and their two guinea pigs “Teddy” and “Sid”.
Dr Amber Parks
Dr. Parks is originally from Upton, Massachusetts where she earned her B.S. degree in Animal Science, cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the accredited Tuskegee University in Alabama. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Florida Veterinary Medical Association, and Pinellas County Veterinary Medical Association. In her free time, Dr. Parks enjoys ocean sailing, Florida beaches, horseback riding, and taking her dogs for a walk. Her animal companions include two dogs, "Ava" and "Aiden", and two cats named "Jiggy", and "Sunshine".
Dr Leah Hathaway
Dr. Hathaway (previously Dr. Mann) received her B.S., M.S. and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degrees at the University of Florida. Although she enjoyed her time in Gainesville, she loves being back home in Pinellas County. She has been a member of the VCPH family since 2014. When not spending time with her VCPH family, clients and patients, she enjoys participating in organized veterinary medicine as a member of American Medical Veterinary Association, Florida Veterinary Medical Association, Pinellas County Veterinary Medical Association and the Tarpon Springs Veterinary Academy Advisory Board. Her hobbies include enjoying the sunshine at the beach, kayaking, baking, crafting and spending time with her family and friends. She and her husband Donnie share their home with their cats “Brie”, “Barron” and “Stella” and are looking forward to the expansion of this fur family with a dog or two.
Kris is a Certified Veterinary Technician with a special interest in surgery and intensive care. She has worked at the University of Illinois Teaching Hospital ICU and University of Wisconsin Veterinary Teaching Hospital Surgical Center. Besides being a CVT, her main duties include over-seeing hospital operations and keeping everything running smoothly. Kris and her family share their house with their Chocolate Labrador "Chevy" three cats "Alex" “Pumpkin” and "Oliver" and two guinea pigs “Teddy” and “Sid”.
Traci joined the Vet Clinic of Palm Harbor in October, 2005. A native to Florida, she is a lover of the outdoors and is a massage therapy graduate. Her love for animals has brought her to the clinic. Traci's spare time is spent boating and spending time with friends and family (2 and 4 legs). She currently shares her home with her special cat "Twinkle". Traci continues to learn and grow here at the Vet Clinic and is now one of our managers.
Vanessa - Office Manager / Technician
Vanessa was born and raised in Belgium before continuing her education in the U.S. She speaks fluent French, English and some Dutch. She has an AA degree in Sciences and furthered her studies at USF in the pre-vet program. She has volunteered countless hours at Humane Societies. She has certifications in dentistry, pet nutrition and cold laser therapy. She has been a veterinary technician at VCPH since 2005 and is also one of our practice managers. She has two children (Logan and Savanna) and five fur babies (Naya- Boxer, Snicker- Cocker Spaniel, Chloe- Chihuahua, Hermione- DLH and Gypsy- DSH). Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her two and four legged kids, her family and friends. She enjoys the beach, dancing, traveling and horseback riding.
Lynsey has been with the Vet Clinic since 2015. She graduated from the Veterinary Technology program at St. Petersburg College in 2012 and earned her certification shortly after. She enjoys cooking and baking, crafts, and the beach. She shares her home with her husband Ben, two dogs “Sydney” and “Joey”, and two cats “Mouse” and “Panda”.
Danielle - CVT
Danielle is originally from Kingston, New York and moved to Florida in 2003. Danielle has always had an enormous passion for animals, and she is currently enrolled in St. Petersburg College`s veterinary technician program. Once she earns her certification as a vet tech, she will be pursuing a bachelors degree. Danielle shares a home in Palm Harbor with her fiancé Chris and her three cats "Leilou", "Dallas" and "Bruce", a hedgehog "Kali" and her dog "Brody".
Matt is originally from Rochester, New York and moved to sunny Florida in 2016. He has been with us since November 2016 and is a certified veterinary technician, earning his degree from Genesee Community College in Batavia, New York. In his spare time Matt enjoys wood working, sports and is a home brewer. Matt shares his home with his wife, daughter, dog Brayton and cats Mamasan and Panther.
Krystal - Technician
Krystal joined the VCPH team June 2015. Her compassion for animals is what brought her to our clinic and has inspired her to further her education in the animal science field in the future. Krystal enjoys spending her free time kayaking Florida’s natural springs and playing video games. She shares her home with her husband Joe, two cats Layla & Tippy and their ferret Trix.
Christine - Technician Assistant
Christine discovered she wanted to work with animals at 10 years old on a trip to Thailand. She graduated with a Vet Assistant Certification from Tarpon Springs High School Vet Science Academy in 2001, she then continued her education at Santa Fe Community College and graduated with an AS degree in Zoo Animal Technology. In the summer of 2004, she interned with Busch Gardens Zoo’s Adventure camp. Presently, she is a volunteer at Tarpon Springs High School's Vet Science Academy. In her spare time, Christine loves the outdoors, kayaking, camping, and “Island Time”. She also loves being home with her husband Jim, son CJ, and three 4 legged children "Bella", "Colada" and "Sam". Her goal is to continue education at SPC’s CVT program.
Mary joined the VCPH team February 2012. She has more than 10 years experience in the veterinary industry. Mary loves going to the beach, boating, camping and playing video games. She travels frequently and especially enjoys her annual cruises with her husband Mike. They share their home with their dogs Max, Isis, Cyrus, Simone and their cat Emmet.
Shanon joined the VCPH team in March of 2013. She is originally from Ohio and moved to Florida in 1997. She has a B.S. in Alternative Medicine and previously worked in a nutritional clinic for humans. In her spare time she enjoys her yoga practice, spending time at the beach and reading. She shares her home with her daughter Olivia and their dogs Dixon and Gypsy.
Janette is originally from Banner Elk, North Carolina and moved to Florida in 2010. Her love for animals brought her to VCPH in May of 2017. Janette is excited to start her career in the veterinary field. In her spare time, Janette enjoys being outdoors, practicing yoga, and spending time with her fiancé Tracey and their fur babies “Spanky” and “Scout”.
Stacy joined VCPH in 2010 and presently works as a part time receptionist for us. She also works as a flight attendant out of St. Pete/Clearwater. She graduated from USF with a business degree in '09 (Go Bulls!) and currently has one Greyhound named Sunshine. She also loves to foster other retired racers and volunteers with Gold Coast Greyhounds in Clearwater.
Barb - Office Mom
Barbara is a proud mother of 3 children and 7 grandchildren. Barbara is also a motivated and result-driven office management professional who really never stops working. Barbara consistently displays dedication and determination in all endeavors and has an earned reputation as an accomplished team player. Originally from Oak Lawn, Illinois Barbara and her late husband Tom moved to the Tampa Bay area in late 2005. Barbara has worked with the Vet Clinic for many years and has seen it quickly grow into a well-respected veterinary organization. When (if) Barbara is not working, you might find her enjoying time on the water or taking wonderful vacations with family and friends.
